Our members have disseminated their research on aspects of democracy widely and engage closely with policy actors in many states. Our members have frequently appeared on news media, including Northern Ireland radio and TV, and in Britain on Sky News and BBC World at One, and have written in the Guardian, Huffington Post, and Irish Times.
Members edit and contribute to widely read blogs. We have made numerous contributions to the LSE blog, The Conversation, and UK in a Changing Europe. See, for example, Lisa Whitten’s pieces for the UK in a Changing Europe. Notably, also, Dr James Pow is deputy editor of one of the main Northern Ireland current affairs blogs: Northern Slant
We also engage in novel ways of connecting with the public. Professor Garry has made research on democracy accessible in animations such as ‘Democracy Without Politicians’ and in a TEDx Talk on the subject of ‘Democracy = Random + Reason.’
